According to a press release, Sachin Tendulkar, India's most renowned athlete, often touted as the "God of Cricket", has ventured into the realm of NFTs for the first time by teaming up with the online marketplace for digital collectibles called Rario. The platform will feature an exclusive range of collectibles representing Sachin Tendulkar's most significant career milestones in the form of official NFTs.
Tendulkar has joined the Rario team as a strategic investor. He added that it was amazing to see how NFT technology brings sports fans closer to the gaming action and enables them to collect keepsakes of their favourite cricketers. "The Rario platform is committed to creating a community for cricket fans where they can ethically purchase cricket memorabilia.
The platform will also release digital collections in collaboration with other cricketers like Aaron Finch, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Faf du Plessis, and Rishabh Pant.
Sachin Tendulkar is widely known for his illustrious career, which spans more than 3 decades and has seen some of the most glorious records in the history of cricket.
Rario has also entered into agreements with various cricket boards across different countries around the world. To name a few, Rario has forged partnerships with Animoca and Polygon Studios and has sold more than 150,000 NFTs since 2021.
